The countdown has begun
In 2027, the Montafon will serve as the venue for the largest winter sports event Vorarlberg has ever seen: the FIS Snowboard, Freestyle, and Freeski World Championships. In collaboration with all the municipalities in the valley, an international sporting event is being organized that combines top-level performance, a passion for winter sports, and the unique atmosphere of the Montafon.
Das Montafon blickt auf eine über einhundertjährige Wintersportgeschichte zurück – geprägt von engagierten Vereinen, visionären Persönlichkeiten und zahlreichen sportlichen Glanzmomenten. Mit der Austragung der FIS Snowboard, Freestyle und Freeski Weltmeisterschaften 2027, der größten Wintersportveranstaltung in der Geschichte Vorarlbergs, setzt das Montafon einen weiteren bedeutenden Meilenstein und schreibt seine Erfolgsgeschichte als innovative Wintersportregion konsequent fort.

Halfpipe, Slopestyle, Big Air, Snowboardcross (SBX), Snowboardcross Mixed Team, Parallel-Riesenslalom (PGS), Parallel-Riesenslalom Mixed Team und Parallel-Slalom (PSL)
Under Freestyle and Freeski, you will find the following disciplines:
Halfpipe, Slopestyle, Big Air, Aerials, Aerials Mixed Team, Skicross, Skicross Mixed Team, Moguls und Dual Moguls
A ski vacation just like any other—with world-class experiences included.
During the World Championships, you can ski as usual and enjoy the international competitions and the supporting events free of charge.
