A Temporary Farewell to the M³
After many memorable races, the M³ Montafon Mountain Bike Marathon is stepping away from the event calendar for the time being.
We look back with gratitude on athletic achievements, personal stories, and countless meters of elevation gain shared together. Our thanks go to everyone who has shaped the M³ over the years and made it possible.
In 2027, we’ll take some time for a creative break and a fresh start. Because sometimes you need some distance to see new paths.

The route that has to be completed as part of the M³ demands a high level of fitness from the riders. With 75 kilometers and 2,500 vertical meters, the tour is challenging.

On August 1, 2026, the M³ marked this chapter one last time in its current form. Once again, the Montafon became a gathering place for people who share a passion for mountain biking. Pushing personal limits and shared experiences of success defined the event year after year.
In 2027, there will be a creative hiatus—not as a farewell, but as a deliberate moment to reflect on the future. In 2028, the M³ is set to return with new momentum: contemporary, independent, and with the same passion that has driven it since 2008.
