An easy circular route on the sunny balcony of the Montafon. This route takes you from the Baroque church Bartholomäberg over the Panorama Road halfway above the rooftops of Schruns.
Description
This circular route starting at Bartholomäberg is an easy, pleasant winter hike. Starting at the Baroque church Bartholomäberg, which is definitely worth a visit, you start off in the direction of Innerberg. Along the Panorama Road the route starts for you with hardly any ascent. The Panorama Road leads you to a bus stop directly in front of the Ferienhotel Fernblick. The Ferienhotel Fernblick forms the highest point of this route. In a downhill section, you leave the Ferienhotel Fernblick behind you and hike along the Lochweg to the junction Därfli/Paradies from where you return via the Obdörfleweg and Egg to the starting point of your route, the Baroque church Bartholomäberg.
Approach
Drive on the A14 to the Bludenz/Montafon exit and continue on Montafonerstraße L188 to St. Anton im Montafon. At the height of St. Anton, turn left (directly at the train station) and follow the path to Bartholomäberg

Just leave your car behind
The country buses run throughout Montafon. The main lines run every half hour from Schruns train station.

From Bludenz train station the Montafon railway runs hourly (partly every half hour). There are also direct connections from Lindau (D) or from Bregenz.
The first part of the path leads along the Panorama Road (direction Innerberg) to the Ferienhotel Fernblick, from there you go right along the path to the Lochweg. Here you turn right and follow the Lochweg. After 500 m you turn right onto the Obdörfleweg. Afterwards you ascend following the path back to the main road. Along a short section of the Panorama Road, you reach the starting point again.
